Overview
PPGL coils (pre-painted galvalume steel coils) are a type of colored steel that is processed from 55% galvalume steel. The coating of Galvalume steel sheet is composed of aluminum, zinc, and silicon, which work together through a galvanic effect to provide excellent corrosion resistance. This makes it more corrosion-resistant than galvanized steel sheet. The paint layer not only adds color to the steel but also protects it from rust and corrosion.
PPGL steel sheets are used for the same applications as PPGI, such as roofing, cladding, wall panels, and garage doors.
PPGL Steel Specification
PPGL Sheet is processed from 55% galvalume steel sheet, and the thickness of the Al-Zn layer and paint are the most significant factors that affect the quality of PPGL sheet.
Thickness:
The thickness of PPGL steel can range from 0.12mm to 1.5mm, depending on the application.
Width:
The width range of PPGL we can provide is 600mm-1250mm, with the most common widths being 914mm, 1000mm, 1219mm, and 1250mm.
Zinc Coated:
PPGI made from galvalume steel(GL), the Al-Zn coated range is form AZ15g/㎡ to AZ150g/㎡.
Painted Coated
PPGL are coated with a layer of paint. The coating can be PE, SMP or PVDF.
Usually there are two layers of paint on the front side with a thickness of 5+10um ~ 5+20um, and one layer of paint on the back side with a thickness of 5~10um.
Color:
PPGL coils are available in a wide range of colors, it produce according RAL color card or sample.
Surface Finish:
PPGL steel surface are available in smooth, matte, embossed, and film cover.
